The day after I received my new Fend helmet, I wiped out on the side of the road on my new electric bicycle, and though I did end up in the ER the next day with a few cracked ribs and pulled muscles, I had hit my head on the ground pretty hard and would have been in a far worse condition if I hadn't been wearing this helmet.
I was banged up and sore, but the helmet didn't have the slightest dent or scratch on it.
It is the most functional and comfortable helmet I’ve ever worn, hands down. With the lights, you’re easily visible at night, it folds easily for you to take the helmet with you where yo go, and it feels great when you wear it! I love Fend for producing this helmet.
I love my new helmet! I generally wear full face helmets because I record ride videos, but I was looking for something to wear on the other days. I wanted something that was lightweight, comfortable, looked good, and collapsed into a smaller form factor so that I could put it in the storage I have on my bikes. This helmet checked off all those requirements and had a few bonus features like lights and a dope color. I’ve been using it the last 2 weeks and now I can’t imagine using anything else!
I was part of the Kickstarter to bring this amazing helmet to market. The part that drew me was that it was foldable/collapsable. For someone who practically lives out of his backpack, having a helmet that can fold down is a game changer. But being foldable sure doesn't take away from the durability - this is by far the most robust helment I've ever owned. Super solid, especially when you can dial it in!! I have no worries it won't protect my head. And the lights are just the icing on the cake.
I live in Armenia as a US Peace Corps volunteer and I teach in a village in the mountains. We have one very rough asphalt road to the village and as you can imagine, drivers are not used to bikes on the road. So, having a good helmet is essential for safety. Would love to see a child's helmet and better protection for a scooter around the ears and back of the head reducing the straps. Great helmet otherwise for biking. The airflow and lighting make it a good helmet for hot conditions and if it can hold up to the heat in the Caribbean you can sell a lot hear.
