FEND Super Helmet

Have been using this helmet daily riding Citibikes in NYC going from Metronorth to and from my job as well as around town. Fits in my bag leaving plenty of room for my laptop, , windbreaker, lunch etc. last week I got clipped by an e-bike delivery guy riding wrong way on the bike lane. I needed to get patched up at he urgent care and maybe broke a rib but the helmet held up beautifully, only losing the rear light and some scratches. The folding mechanism held up in the crash and protected this 72 year old head beautifully. The urgent care doc was impressed. Perhaps as impressive is that a replacement helmet is on the way one week later.

My Fend helmet saved my life. I had a bike accident last Wednesday, my first in over 25 years of cycling. Despite hitting the pavement head-first at speed, I’m alive and after a thorough ER check-up, no brain injuries. I did fracture my left pelvis but nothing Fend could do about that! The only irony is that after doing its job so well I need to replace it, as you always have to after a helmet goes through an impact. I’ll gladly and gratefully buy my next Fend helmet. Thank you for making it easier to always have my helmet to wear it on my city commutes!!

I met a woman wearing one who said she is asked regularly for her opinion on hers. Based on her recommendation, I bought this for my son. Carrying around a traditional helmet was tiresome. He is really happy with his gift. It fits well, folds up easily, and I hope it keeps his noggin safe for years.
